My Week

These are some pictures that one of my good friends took of Adalyn. She was real fussy at first but when we took her clothes of she did nothing but smile. It was so adorable.

So this week has been crazy. My father in law had started to feel sick on Thursday night and he stayed in his room all weekend. He was coughing and feverish and just feeling downright crappy. So Saturday morning Marie said she didn't think he had the flu, I got his symptoms typed in and found out it could be pneumonia. I told her to go to the emergency room and she did. They admitted him to the hospital and within a few short hours, he got real bad, his organs were shutting down.
They air med him to another hospital and now he is in the ICU. He is being heavily sedated so the medicines can help fight the infections. He was diagnosed with pneumonia, one of his lungs was 2/3 full of liquid and they were both inflamed (ARDS-acute respiratory distress syndrome) and he also has septic shock (when your body is trying to fight off the infection and goes into shock, then the organs will shut down), his kidneys were doing bad..So he is on a breathing tube and out of it. He has gotten better in the last day. He doesn't need 100% oxygen anymore so that is good. When he is awake, he tries to tell us things by writing letters with his fingers in the air, but he is weak and it takes a while,. It took him 15 minutes or so to tell us he was hot.
Marie is staying with him the entire time, bless her heart. Those waiting room couches are not comfortable. Praying for ya daddy (in law :))
So Gracie went to church with Nana and bompa yesterday so mommy and daddy could go be with grandma at the hospital. Nana teaches primary so Gracie got to go in with her. They were singing all kinds of songs and Gracie would stand up and take a bow. They asked the children what songs they wanted to sing and one little girl requested a princess song. Gracie then stood up and batted-? her eye lashes and twirled and said "I'm a princess" how adorable. Then they had some little speakers and when they were done Gracie proceeded to tell people it was her turn and headed up to the podium and waited for help. When no one helped her she began to cry and buried her face in Nana's shoulder. Poor girl, she just doesn't understand yet, but she is so adorable to watch.

I hope Ron is doing better! Deffinately praying for him. I had fun taking the pictures. She's an adorable baby! I just wish we could have gotten a pic with her and Gracie. I'll try to finish editing this week.
